The Cradle of Aviation Museum Wants Your Pumpkins!

Annual Pumpkin Smashing Event to take place at Long Island’s Cradle of Aviation Museum

GARDEN CITY, NY- November 18, 2010 – With your Halloween candy gone and Halloween officially
over, the Cradle of Aviation has the perfect solution for getting rid of your overripe pumpkins. Bring all
of those grimacing jack-o-lanterns to the Cradle of Aviation’s Pumpkin Smash on Sunday, November
21, 2010.

The annual event takes place from 12:00pm – 3:00pm at Long Island’s very own Cradle of Aviation
Museum. The annual Pumpkin Smash will be held in the lobby of the museum and is an exciting
event for people of all ages. Participants will have the opportunity to drop hundreds of pumpkins from
the second story balcony into the “splatter zone” below.

The event is free with general museum admission: Adults $14, Seniors and Children (2-12 years of

The Cradle of Aviation Museum is ranked in the top 10 aviation museums in the country. The
museum is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of aerospace history. It has over 75 air
and spacecraft exhibits that guide you through over a century of aviation history including kites from
kites and balloons to the first steps on the moon.
