Sesame Street Live: Elmo's Healthy Heroes Review...

Who doesn't love Sesame Street?  I grew up with Sesame Street and we love to visit Sesame Place with our Children every year.  This year we had the pleasure of attending Sesame Street Live: Elmo's Healthy Heroes at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY.

The stage was very colorful and as soon as the characters came out, my 4 year old and 19 month old were mesmerized!  They were dancing along with the characters which included Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, New this year was Abby Cadabby, and a "human" character has been added to the show, the letter "K".

We went to the 7:30pm show and it was a total of 90 mins with a 15 minute intermission.  The show went by very fast!  It was very interactive which the kids loved!  My 19 month old has never sat still that long:)

We loved how they were integrating eating healthy and being healthy with the Super Heroes!  That part is what really kept my 4 year old involved!

Sesame Street Live: Elmo's Healthy Heroes is a must see for any Sesame Street Fan! Just remember that any child over 1 year needs a ticket:) Have Fun!!

Zhu Zhu - Wild Bunch Sweetie Giveaway - CLOSED

My kids LOVE Zhu Zhu Pets!  I was one of those crazy parents that last Christmas stalked all the toy stores for the Zhu Zhu Pets!  My son had to have ALL of them plus ALL of the accessories!  I was absolutely obsessed and I am not afraid to admit it:)  I waited online for hours in the freezing cold to get one little Zhu Zhu Pet!  My poor daughter, 10 months at the time, would be in her little stroller all bundled up waiting with me.  What was I NUTS!!!???!!!  No, I was a dedicated Mom trying to get everything on my son's Christmas List!

Since then we have collected the Kung Zhu Pets and now we are loving (I mean, my son;)) is loving the Wild Bunch Zhu Zhu's.  We don't have the Rock Start ones yet.  Maybe in a few months.  How much can I spend on them? ;)

Salonpas Pain Relief Patches Review...

When I was 8 years old and in Elementary School I was diagnosed with Scoliosis by the School Chiropractor.  I went to the Chiropractor for 4 years so they could help correct my Scoliosis. When I was 12 years old my Scoliosis had become so bad (my spine was shaped like an "S") that it was crushing my lungs and heart and I no longer could go on just with the Chiropractor.  I had surgery at 13 years old.  I had 2 double metal rods fused to my spine connected by metal hooks.

When I was 21 years old I broke my lower half of my back while working as a Dental Assistant. The Dentist I worked for worked while standing and the pressure of standing all day was too much on my lower back. The Orthopedist solution was to totally fuse the rest of my spine.  That was not an option for me.  Or Pain Management.  I tried Pain Management but all the pain killers were not for me either.  I couldn't live like that. So I just learned to live with the every day pain and went on with my life.

My back since has gone through 2 Pregnancies and 2 C-Sections, weight loss and gain, and the everyday "wear & tear".  The pain is still there everyday.

Then I had the great fortune to try Salonpas Pain Relief Patches! I can't believe how well they worked.  Within a short time my pain seemed to disappear.  It is weird because I didn't even realize anymore the day to day pain until it wasn't there anymore!

I put the patch on the day after I received them and went about my morning.  It is so easy to forget it is there because of how flexible it is and how well it stays on.  My kids made a huge mess on the floor.  I was able to clean it all up and get up off the floor without help from my husband or the couch!  What a great feeling!  And to be able to transform our basement into a train lovers dream with my son was so much fun!  It's being able to do the little things that matter most to me.

I use one patch at a time and it lasts up to 12 hours.  I use one a day because most of my pain is in the morning unless the weather is very humid.

Here are some great facts about Salonpas Pain Relief Patches:
  • Salonpas Pain Relief Patches are the only FDA-Approved OTC pain relieving patch on the market!
  • The Medicine goes right to the site of the pain because it is a patch.
  • It is very flexible, easy to wear and is flesh colored so it is well camouflaged.
  • It lasts up to 12 hours (most medications only last 2 hours)
  • Great for Muscle and Joint Pain, Arthritis Pain, Back Pain, Neck Pain, Shoulder Pain, Sprains, Strains, and Bruises
  • It can be found at Walgreens, CVS, and other online and in store locations. Check here for a store near you: http://www.salonpas.us/where-to-buy

You can request a free sample of either the Pain Relief or Arthritis Patch also here: https://www.salonpas.us/try-now

How to Make Your Own Crayons:)

Very Cool Idea! I wanted to share what my project for this week is:) This is it!! I bought candy molds and I am going to melt the crayons into different shapes! I will update when the project is complete on how it went:)

I decided to make this my weekly project in anticipation for my daughter's 2nd Birthday in February.  I plan way ahead of time and I am thinking of making these for the kids favors.

This is the mold I am going to try this week:

How to Make Your Own Crayons

Crayons
Crayons
Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You'll Need::

  • old crayons
  • muffin pan
  • foil

Instructions

One thing that is easy to go through fast, especially if you have as many kids as I do is crayons. But have you ever noticed that they only use them about half way, or they break, or get lost? Well now we have a use for all of these old crayons... to make new ones!

  1. If you threw out all of your old ones.. don't worry. You can usually get some extremely cheap at a yard sale or thrift store. I mean who wants old crayons, right? You do now!! SO from now on..do not throw them away. Just put them in a box until you have enough to make a new batch..or just need a new batch. This makes great gift ideas too. My kids love to make these when they have a friend staying the night. It gives them something to do..then they can not wait to use them. It's a win win situation.

  2. 1.First you will need to make sure there is no paper on them. We don't want to start a fire.
2.Next line a muffin pan with tin foil. It is fun to make different shapes.
    3. Heat your oven to 200 degrees.
    4. Place several pieces of broken crayon into the muffin holes. Make sure you don't put too much as they will boil over. You might want to place a tin foil lined cookie sheet under the muffin pan.
    5. Bake for 5 to 8 minutes. Make sure that you watch them. When they are good and melted they are done.
    6. Let them cool..then use them to your hearts content.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want a single color..just put one color in, but it is fun to jazz them up by adding different colors. They will look swirled.

  • WARNING: your kids will love making these so much you might be doing this on a regular basis! :)

  • HAVE FUN!
